Workflow Overview
1. Files Upload & Processing
Node: Files
Purpose: The user uploads a dataset (such as a CSV or PDF) containing technology information. The node processes the file, extracting and chunking the text (including OCR for scanned documents), making it ready for AI analysis.
2. Generate a Focused Web Search Query
Node: OpenAI (llm-2)
Purpose: This AI analyzes the uploaded dataset and generates a concise, focused search query. The goal is to help find the latest patents, publications, and companies relevant to the technologies in your dataset.
How: It summarizes the key topics and terms from the file, not the full dataset, and outputs a search query.
3. In-Depth Dataset Analysis
Node: OpenAI (llm-0)
Purpose: This AI provides a detailed analysis of the uploaded dataset, identifying:
Emerging technology trends
Key players
Market opportunities
How: The output is structured for inclusion in a professional report, with citations and thorough reasoning.
4. Jobs-to-Be-Done Competitor Analysis
Node: OpenAI 3 (llm-3)
Purpose: This AI identifies potential competitors using a Jobs-to-Be-Done approach, leveraging:
The uploaded dataset
The search query generated in step 2
How: It focuses on ultra-niche and hard-to-find competitors, providing citations and reasoning for each finding.
5. Report Formatting
Node: Template
Purpose: This node combines the outputs from all analysis nodes into a single, well-structured, professional report in Markdown format. The report includes:
Executive summary (from the in-depth analysis)
Patent, publication, and company research (from the search query)
Jobs-to-Be-Done competitor analysis
Appendix with the uploaded dataset
6. Output to User
Node: Output
Purpose: Presents the final, formatted report to the user for review or download.
7. Create a Google Doc
Node: Create Google Doc (Action)
Purpose: Automatically creates a new Google Doc containing the full report, using your connected Google account.
How: The content from the Template node is sent as the body of the new Google Doc, titled "Emerging Tech Report".
How the Nodes Connect
Files → OpenAI (llm-2): The uploaded dataset is used to generate a search query.
Files → OpenAI (llm-0): The dataset is analyzed for trends and opportunities.
Files & OpenAI (llm-2) → OpenAI 3 (llm-3): Both the dataset and the search query are used for competitor analysis.
All AI nodes → Template: Their outputs are merged into a single report.
Template → Output: The report is displayed to the user.
Template → Create Google Doc: The report is also sent to Google Docs for easy sharing and editing.
In short:
You upload a dataset → AI generates a search query, analyzes the data, and finds competitors → All results are formatted into a professional report → The report is shown to you and also saved as a Google Doc.
